Minutes of the Area meeting held on Friday 28th January 2005

The Flying Fortress Great Barton Near. Bury St Edmund’s

 

1.                  Apologies for Absence

Vikings, Bury, South Norfolk, P.A.R.C.S., Lakeside, Impington. Raydon, Ipswich, Norwich 11 members.

 

3.                  Minutes of the Previous Meeting

 

Proposed Lakeside, Seconded PARCS. Carried.

 

4.         Matter arising

 

No matters arising

 

5.            Officers  Reports

 

Secretary

Reported on the problems associated with fling at Two Tree Island. The area had not been directly involved. However it was felt that the matter had not been handled well by the flying site coordinator. The problems had now been resolved and it had been agreed by head office that, in future, we would advised of problems effecting sites within the area.

Achievement Scheme Coordinator

Informed the meeting that George Kelp had retired and that he was vetting prospective replacements.

Delegate

The delegate raised the issue of the BMFA stand and volunteers to main same at Wings and Wheels. Those attending the meeting agreed to think of possibles and advise the delegate

 

6.         BMFA Council meeting

 

The dates of meetings was discussed. The Area appears to have two calendars. The delegate would enquire and advise the accordingly

 

7.         Other Business

 

The issue of possible alternate delegates to the BMFA council was discussed. For the future if such an alternative delegate was required the area meeting prior to the council would decide.
