Minutes of the Area meeting held on Friday 23rd September 2005

Bury, PARCS, South Norfolk, Impington, Harlow, Vikings, Lakeside, Norwich 11 members.

 

3.                  Minutes of the Previous Meeting

 

Proposed Vikings, Seconded Norwich. Carried.

 

4.         Matter arising

 

Matters arising

The previous meeting discussed and voted on the appointment of a new Area Chief Examiner. The proposal had been ruled out as invalid as insufficient members were in attendance. The matter was discussed. Garry peacock was proposed by Impington and seconded by South Norfolk. Carried 8 votes to 0. The Scheme coordinator to action.

 

5.         Officers' Reports

 

The secretary informed the meeting that the Two Tree Island site issues were again causing concern. Roger Bellingham is working with the club.

 

6.         BMFA Council meeting

 

Nothing of major consideration

 

7.         Other Business

 

The consistency of the standards of testing was raised. It was felt that a meeting of area examiners might be the way forward. The delegate would seek views at the next council meeting.

AGM, this is now rearranged as 25th November23rd 2005.
