Minutes of the Area meeting held on Friday 9th June 2006

1.                  Apologies for Absence

Bury, PARCS, Impington, Vikings, Lakeside, Norwich, South Norfolk 8 members.

 

3.                  Minutes of the Previous Meeting

 

Proposed South Norfolk, Seconded Impington. Carried.

 

4.         Matter arising

 

The proposal that Phil Gutteridge be appointed as a Area Chief Examiner had failed as Phil lacked the necessary experience, he was 3 months short of time. He now has the necessary time and it was agreed that his nomination be re-submitted.

 

5.            Officers' Reports

 

No formal reports

 

6.         BMFA Council meeting

 

The council meeting’s major business covers the  ratification of the achievement scheme. The delegate will take a pragmatic view

 

7.         Other Business

 

1.                  The idea of the examiner’s day was agreed. A budget of £500.00 was agreed Proposed Norwich Seconded PARCS. Nigel Barker would head up the organisation assisted by Neil Gill. It was agreed to cherry pick a cross section of examiners, candidates and actors in order the control the scope and size of the day. By kind permission of the Ramsey Club the event would take place on their field on 1st October.

2.                  A paper plane event would take place at Duxford on July 16th. Offers of assistance to Nigel.
