1. Apologies for Absence

Tony Hayden, Jeff Stocking, Stephen Kessel. In the absence of both the Chairman and Vice Chairman Ken Tinkler took the Chair.

2. Clubs Present

PARCS, Impington, Vikings, Lakeside, South Norfolk, 8 members.

3. Minutes of the Previous Meeting

Proposed Vikings, Seconded Impington. Carried. With one small correction, “Examiner” should read “Instructor”

4. Matter arising

1. The examiner’s day was progressing well. The event on the Ramsey Club field on 1^st October was shaping up well. Nigel Barker passed round the programme for the day. It was likely that some 20-30 examiners would be present.

2. The paper plane event took place at Duxford on July 16^th and was a great success with participants in the 100’s

6. BMFA Council meeting

The council meeting will be covering the subject of the Area’s Constitution. The delegate would seek an understanding of what was meant by this statement.

7. Other Business

· The subject of Area Examiners personal flying standards was discussed. A mechanism that ensures that examiners are still up to standard needs to be considered

· The Area Delegate brought up the subject of alternates for council meetings. It was agreed that if required Keith Barker could be the Area alternate
