3. Matters arising
The problems experienced by the Bedford Club had been finalised however not in the favour of the club, despite the fact that the noise code had been adhered to but the Bedford Club. It has to be noted that the code has no power within law, it is only advisory.
It was clarified that the income from the Rougham event went directly to the organisers nothing was received by the Bury Club. The Bury Club were also disappointed by the regime of charging that had been applied despite the lack of flying activity.
4. Officers reports
The PRO had attended the Model Engineer Exhibition at The Alexandria Palace. Although not the exhibition of days of yore the BMFA had been well represented.
5. BMFA council
It was understood that an election to posts on the Achievement Scheme Committee would be required. It was agreed that the election should be based upon those who had followed the required submission dates, no late inclusions should be allowed.
6. Other Business
No other business was discussed.
7. Next meetings
Despite the fact that there was no mid-year Area’s Council Meeting the secretary was instructed to arrange a committee meeting. Date to be advised.
